Ritournelle (Munich) publishes wonderful video

Monday, November 17th, 2014

A few weeks ago, we had the honour to perform at the great Ritournelle festival in Munich, alongside amazing artists like Koreless, the James Holden Band, To Rococo Rot, and John Talabot.

They made a wonderful video of the event, and it very nicely captures some great moments of a fantastic night. Thank you guys so much for having us!

British Mag ‘The Skinny’ about the video for ‘Dust’

Monday, May 12th, 2014

Screen Shot 2014-05-12 at 09.42.29British magazine ‘The Skinny‘ puts Ronni Shendars video for dust in some very illustrious company… and adds it to their “Ten Rapid” selection. Find the entire article and selection here, or read below:

“In this week’s Ten Rapid playlist, we showcase videos from Savages, who share an atmospheric live performance; Richard Fearless, the main man behind Death In Vegas, makes a welcome return; Sweden’s Little Dragon go on a rural road trip; alt.rap star Akira The Don delivers his swansong; Kate Tempest takes on The Beigeness; and we deliver a triple (or even quadruple!) whammy of videos from female-fronted rock bands, with the new single from Honeyblood, the return of Courtney Love, and Garbage in collaboration with Brody Dalle. We’ll finish up with a live track from The Afghan Whigs, and some gorgeous electronica from Gold Panda affiliate Glitterbug. Everyone ready? Let’s dive in!”

Screen Shot 2014-05-12 at 09.42.04“And finally, a track of stately, majestic electronica from Germany’s Glitterbug, aka Til Rohmann, signed to Gold Panda’s NOTOWN Recordings. Inspired by the work of Brian Eno and Derek Jarman, he makes the kind of expansive electronica that evokes stark landscapes and the shadow-play of natural light, and in the video, directed by Ronni Shendar, these are exactly the kind of scenes depicted. Deserts, mountains and riverbeds drift dreamily past the camera as the beatless electronic compositions of Rohmann pulse and glow. It’s the perfect end to our Friday playlist.”

First video of Dust premiered by

Monday, May 5th, 2014

Screen Shot 2014-05-05 at 17.41.41 You can find the video in the article here.

What Groove writes about it:

Trailer of the first video for Dust

Tuesday, April 15th, 2014

Ronni Shendar did this breathtakingly beautiful trailer as a teaser for the upcoming video for the title track of my upcoming album, Dust. The video will be premiered shortly, but we’re not allowed yet to publicly discuss where… The video was shot during three weeks in December 2013 in the Sierra Nevada and the Owens Valley, and I couldn’t think of anyone better than Ronni to capture the bare and wide beauty of this very special place on this planet. Make sure to watch in HD and full screen!!!

Very nice interview on Faze TV (in German)

Friday, April 11th, 2014

The lovely guys of Faze TV tried to bring me over for my last release already, but it never happened and nobody can remember why. Anyhow, I had a great time there and a really nice conversation with Sven, the host of the show. But have a look yourself!

We are on our way.

Video for ‘Passages’ online!

Thursday, May 3rd, 2012

The video for ‘Passages’, taken from Glitterbug’s new album, ‘Cancerboy’, embarks on a twilight journey through a foggy, gloomy scenery. Rusty ships and doomed freighters appear from the horizon as if from a different time or place, abandoned and absent. It’s a place of the subconscious, a world suspended.

Glitterbug’s new album ‘Cancerboy’ examines and challenges the place between hope and death, and Ronni Shendar’s video follows him to this dreamlike place, where memories of lost friends seem to live on, close yet untouchable; a passage of in-between.

Ronni Shendar is an Israeli visual artist, working in the field of photography, video and live video performance. Her works have been presented in exhibitions and festivals internationally, among them Festival de Cannes and the Jewish Museum Frankfurt, and toured with Gold Panda (Ghostly) with her visuals and stage design.

Shendar and Glitterbug (Till Rohmann) have been collaborating for almost 10 years as curators, producers and artists whose work spans from video installations to their celebrated audio-visual live performance.

Video for ‘Vacuity’ by Ronni Shendar

Thursday, February 16th, 2012

‎’Vacuity’ is the first part of my four part composition ‘Egress’, released earlier this month on False Industries. Imagine opening your eyes in a dead, dark, hostile place where everything is in ruins. That’s pretty much what ‘Vacuity’ is about, and I couldn’t imagine a more fitting visual translation of the piece than Ronni Shendar‘s video for it. Taken from the live premiere at the Plektrum Festival in Tallinn / Estonia, September 2011.
