Glitterbug’s Wet The Cat Mix by Glitterbug

This is yet another part of the fantastic “never released podcasts” series. This one was made for a large online platform that has both an R and an A in its name. Originally supposed to be released around the release date of my last album, it was postponed and postponed, and half a year later, I thought to share it regardless. It’s more techno and a slight bit more “mainstream” than usual…

Tracklist:
01. Glitterbug – Calcutta
02. SCSI-9 – r7l20
03. Martin Buttrich – Enough Love to Hate it
04. Cari Lekebusch – Rainbow Beard
05. Gerge Levin – Falling Mansory (Stimming Remix)
06. Griffin – Up Class
07. John Tejada – The Open
08. Konstantin Siebold – Apart
09. Eric Johnston – Labrador
10. Hector Moralez – No Shame
11. Pepe Arcade – Subfever
12. Laurent Garnier – Stargazing
13. The Martinez Brothers – Won’t Somebody (Original Mix)

This mix was entirely made by hand, utilizing only two Technics turntables and a old Dateq 3 channel mixer. For tracks that I don’t have on vinyl, I use one of those silly DJ programs with vinyl control.

As posted earlier, I made two remixes for Gold Panda’s beautiful “Snow&Taxis”-Track. The longer of the two, ‘”Glitterbug’s Pink Snow Ball Remix”, was now featured (and made available as audio stream) on Pitchfork’s Forkcast, which is a great honor. You can find it here.

Two Remixes for Gold Panda

Here are two remixes I made for Gold Panda‘s wonderful Snow & Taxis EP, taken from his current album ‘Lucky Shiner’ on Ghostly.

The ‘Pink Snow Balls Remix’ is available on the (beautiful!!!) clear vinyl edition of the ‘Snow And Taxis’ EP, that comes with remixes by myself and Throwing Snow, in addition to the original version of the track. The vinyl is available in the UK through Gold Panda’s Notown label, and internationally through Ghostly. The more ambient take of the ‘Nightly Snow Fall Remix’ is available as a digital bonus track.

Boomkat says says about the ‘Pink Snow Balls Remix': “Glitterbug sticks with the more linear pulse of the original, daubing it with warm, atmospheric pads and a shoegazy techno breakdown that Trentemøller would be jealous of… it’s deadly!”

Here they are:
